Owners of MGA 1500s fitted with front drum brakes can now carry out an authentic MGA 1600 disc brake conversion using parts faithfully reproduced to the original 1600 design. A comprehensive original specification conversion kit comprises; MGA 1600 brake calipers, pads, pins & clips, discs, brake hoses, banjo bolts & washers, brake hose locking plates, caliper adaptors, 1600 steel wheel hubs, front wheel bearing kits and mounting hardware. We can also supply an optional 1600 master cylinder extension for increased brake fluid capacity available separately. New pads and discs should be bedded in over several hundred miles, with the braking force being progressively increased to maximize the efficiency of your upgrade. These kits use the standard MGA 1600 Calipers and rotors and pads and other parts. So replacements in the future are easily obtained.
